Weekend Update

I finally had a long weekend in Tucson and it turned out to be a good one! Here is a little recap!

Friday:
We just hung out. Low key day. AND it RAINED! {Ya I am a girl who LOVES me some rain!}

Saturday:
Kevin took me to dinner for my birthday {cause I was in Ohio when that happened} and it was super nice. I will def go back to Fleming's Steakhouse!

Then we went and saw a movie under the stars in our community. The movie was We Bought a Zoo. They marketed the movie for kids, but I don't think it was a kids movie. There was one point where the dad is telling his son that they need to be strong because the daughter still believes in the Easter Bunny. A little girl behind me then proceeded to look at her mom with a face full of confusion. Not good...

Also not good. I got stung by ants. I had a bad reaction...itchy all over, tingly all over, and I still have itchy, painful, warm, big bites all over me.

My entomologist father-in-law says fire ants. Yippie...

Sunday:
Kevin made me muffins from scratch!

Lazy day. I applied for more jobs {fingers crossed}
Then had a game night with some of Kevin's co-workers

Hope everyone's weekend was good!

  1. Yeah, I didn't think about that part with the Easter Bunny. I still thought it was a good movie though. I have few bites too. We'll have to go early next time.

  2. Just stumbled across your blog... Looks like you had a fabulous weekend. I kind of laughed out loud when you said you went to see We Bought a Zoo and the little kid behind you was confused when it said there was no Easter Bunny, haha!

    Sorry about your reaction to the ants.... not a good way to end your weekend! :(

    Happy belated birthday :)

  3. I LOVE the rain too! I feel like I'm the only one that gets happy when it starts to get all gloomy and dark. Oh and thunderstorms...don't even get me started - I live for them!
