New Shoes

So sorry that I haven't posted since Wednesday! I have been super swamped working some overtime and finally am now officially a proud homeowner. (More on that to come) So for now I ask all you awesome people for some advice:

I need new tennis shoes. All of mine are old and gross, and I wear tennis shoes to work everyday. I thought about browsing Pinterest, and it worked! I found some great looking shoes, but the problem is they were all images that didn't link back to where I could buy the shoes. So now I am lusting...

I prefer Nike (since I have a narrow foot) but I am up for anything.

What do you guys think?

  1. Can I ask a mugs question? Do you have to wear tennis shoes for work (in the sense of, they're mandatory)? The reason I ask is this: I'm guessing you wear them as you're on your feet all day. Casting my mind back to some work I've done besides being a lawyer, I can think of a few makes of boots that I've worn which would let you be on your feet all day without getting sore. The maker I'd recommend is John Bull - happy to see if they can be sourced in the US if that's an option for you.

  2. I prefer Nike as well since I have a narrow foot. However I tried on the new underarmour shoes and I love them! They were out of my size in the color I wanted so they ordered them. Good luck. Tennis shoes are hard

  4. I have the Nike Dual Fusion. Mine and pink and gray but they come in lots of colors. I LOVE them. And they were only $65! I buy most of my shoes at Sports Authority. Don't know if you have them there. They always have good sales.

  5. I have Nike Flex High Performance Running shoes and I love them! I used them for hiking yesterday and they were super comfy even though I wasn't on a running trail. I love that they are super flexible and light, and they come in super cute colors

  6. I lovelovelove Nike, and I've even designed my own a few times. I switched to Under Armour this time and I love them! Asics are good as well though, I wore those for volleyball every year.

  7. I l ove the first and second ones! That color is just so perfect! I've always had good luck with Nike. Usually your local mall will have a couple of shoe stores and you can narrow down your search there. I can't think of the stores off the top of my head that would be in the mall. Also, any sporting good store like Dick's should have a great selection!

  10. I have the ones in the box but in neon pink and green! After wearing all white on ships for years i went a bit crazy! you can get them in footlocker and other running sports shops...not sure what shops you have out there. They are great because the sole has the slits in it so you can bend and twist in all different directions! Would totally recommend for the price! Plus if you are going to wear them everyday, you will get your monies worth! :) xx

  12. I'm no help in the buying department for running shoes---but I do know that you can write them off as a work expense on taxes :) So save that receipt! Love the Tiffany blue ones if that helps haha. Yea for official home owners!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

  15. The green and gray ones are probably NIke Free Run 3's... If they're not 3's they are definitely free runs...I just got some from finishline that I love...

  16. Happy Monday! Congrats on being a homeowner. That’s super exciting.

I love the teal color in that second picture. The style looks like the Lunar style of Nikes.

  17. CONGRATS ON BEING A HOMEOWNER ANNNND HAVING 201 FOLLOWERS!!! You rock girl, but you already know that ;) I'm glad i've been following your journey for a while!! I love the first tennies... even though they are expensive, you will get a lot of wear out of them (I always go for the more pricey ones but they last me forever and I use them often. I find that the cheaper I go, the quicker they wear down, especially because I run outside on the pavement!)

Good luck and let us know what you choose!
