Flashback: My College Years

When I first came to New Mexico State University, I thought I would join a sorority. Meet a bunch of girls who would become my lifelong besties–you know, those 10 girls that eventually make up your bridesmaids, all with gorgeous smiles and matching light pink dresses. I imagined I would be in the front row at the football games, face painted, chanting our university fight song.

This didn't happen, but does anything really happen in the way you plan it?
Nope!

This is me on my first day of school.
Yes I would like to be that skinny again.
Freshman 15 is no joke!
And yes, my side was the clean side...

My sophomore year I was a mentor to Honors College students.
It was so much fun!
We are tough enough to wear pink for breast cancer
Yeah we take ourselves very seriously...obvi.

Junior and Senior year my focus was Nursing School.
So many scary tests, non-stop studying, and the occasional fun with friends!
We went out after our exams worrying about how we did! Looks like we all did okay in this pic!

 Graduation party for a friend!

My nursing class! We did it!

A big part about college?
Relay for Life

Oh yeah, and then I graduated! Yay me.
Even Dad was proud of me!

Now I am in the real world...ugh!
It is true that while you are in school you want it to go by and be done
and then out of school you want to go back

Most valuable lesson I learned in college?
If you have free time, it means you have most likely forgotten something.
