Sightings at the Airport

When I was little, I wanted nothing more than to be a flight attendant. I was enamored with airports and planes. As I sit here now waiting for my flight, I still find myself excitedly watching the happenings, the hustle and bustle of the airport.

You see so much in an airport. You see people running...did they miss their flight or is it about to be missed? (I have only had to run once)

Do you ever see people dressed really cute and have this urge to take a picture so that you can copy their style? No? Okay… me neither.
Meet Rachel of Suitcase Secrets! Rachel blogs about staying chic, no matter where her travels take her. I was so happy to meet Rachel and to sketch her blog header because I love a woman who respects the adventure of travel by dressing nicely.

You see sibling love and sibling rivalry, you see busy, you see dirty, you see mom trying to clean her child, you see airline staff, you see tons of people drinking coffee, you see lots of other laptops, phones, tablets, etc...

I wonder if I will like traveling as much when that one day comes where I have to travel with kids. The closest thing that qualifies me was that I once was in charge of traveling with just my youngest sister and that comes no where close it looks like...Except that was the one time I had to run...hmm.
Traveling gives me this sort of calm and high all at the same time. A big part of it is the environment. I love it.

Anyone else love to fly like me?

  1. I do love people watching at the airport. You never know what you'll see. I get a little bored when I have to be on flights or in airports for too long though! When I go to Malaysia, it's usually a total o 36 hours in transit...that's too long for me.

  2. My first experience flying was last summer and it was our entire family going to Disney World. We had my daughter and it was NOT fun. lol. I kid you not, it would be worth the extra money to fly first class and get her a seat of her own...that's all she wanted and sometimes, money really can buy happiness!! In her defense though, she was ultra sleepy but because everything was so new to her, she couldn't fall asleep. Sleepy baby = EEEK!

  3. I think it would be fun too but then you're never home!

Speaking of sightings at the airport, Keith and I had landed in Dallas on our layover back to STL from Puerto Vallarta and we're walking to where we wanted to eat and I hear, "Julie?" I didn't think anything of it until I turned around and it was one of my guests from the hotel. Totally random!

  6. I love to travel too, but I'll have to let you know if it's that much harder with Henry. Our flight to Utah is only going to be 4 1/2 hours, but I really don't think it will be that bad!
