Virtual Blog Tour

I say this a lot, but I love blogging! You meet so many great people on and off line. I don't need to tell most of you all how amazing it is.

One of my blogger friends Erin from The Grass Skirt tagged me in a virtual blog tour. I am super flattered that she thought of me! She has the cutest kids, makes healthy look easy, and authors one of my favorite blogs to read.

Taking part in a blog tour means I get to answer 4 questions. Here it goes!

What am I working on?
I don’t even know if I know the answer to this one. There are tons of things that I work on a daily basis. When it comes to blog posts, I never work on one specific one, finish, schedule and move on. I usually work on several posts at time and when one is finished, I will schedule it to post.

Outside of blogging I am working at work. Most of you know I am a nurse. I really do enjoy it, but it does come with its moments of wanting to throw in the towel. I also am working to be a healthier me and lose some significant weight I have put on. By eating better and working out more consistently I am hoping to achieve that.

How does my work differ from others in the genre?
It probably doesn't when you place me in the lifestyle category of which I have become accustomed to. But I hope that my voice differs from others and makes it a place to laugh, learn, and enjoy. People talk about a blog voice and I don't think your true voice is heard until you have been blogging for a bit. At first I was concerned about what I was saying, but I have learned so much from continuing to blog and write. I love it!

Why do I write what I do?
Because when it comes down to it, I want to. I do have a passion for blogging. Or writing down my random thoughts. Whatever you want to call it. ;-) I would like to be one of those bloggers that people make as a go to read, but because I post about so many different subjects, it probably won't happen. I post about food, my life, home improvement, wedding, travel, you name it.

How does my writing process work?
I seriously have not ever been able to plan out my posts, but I am trying a new approach. Hopefully that should help, but my writing is scattered. Like I mentioned above, I don't work on one post through and through. I have 90 drafts right now that range from one word to almost completed posts. Most are one picture, sentence or word that I start when I have an idea that I want to capture later on. For happiness sake it helps me to be all over the place writing. I do however note that it does not help my grammar or flow very well as I am not the most eloquent person to begin with.

I shall now tag two amazing ladies who I have had the pleasure of meeting IRL (in real life)

Alli from Allena Mistral is a super close girlfriend of mine and it is all due to blogging. She has left me for trees and weather, but no matter the distance we will always be in touch. Doesn't matter if we haven't talked for 1 hour or 1 month, it is like no time has passed.

Meg of Henning Love is super kind and beautiful. She has the most adorable family and shares amazing recipes on her blog. I wish that I could be 1/4 the baker she is!

Alright ladies your turn to answer! Just so you know, none of these questions are softballs, but you are such good writers that this should be a walk in the park for you!

  1. I've loved reading these posts, I put my post up yesterday! I'm with you on still trying to find a writing process that works for me-- I let things sit in my drafts and sometimes they get published and sometimes I end up just deleting them!

  2. These are tough questions! I still don't have a voice. However, others have told me I do.

  3. I am so glad that you did this! I love your blog....obviously or else I wouldn't have chosen you. :)

Comments make my day!
Thanks for the love <3
