The Classic Margarita

There is really only one margarita recipe you need.
And here it is.

And you can try it in an attempt to hang onto summer as much as possible.
Or to celebrate Mexican Independence Day (which was Sept 16, not May 5, contrary to popular belief.)

Anyway, in the southwest, we do a margarita year round.
On the patio.
With chips and guacamole.
Especially when you get to look at a sunset like this:

My husband makes these best.
You can use gold or silver tequila with this recipe. That is the great part about this one.
I prefer to use silver if it is strained and gold if it is frozen.

Enjoy!

  1. Mmmm. Nothing like a good classic margarita. They really are my favorite (and I don't think it has anything to do with the fact that my name is Margaret or my birthday is May 5!!)
