Strawberry Jalapeno Margs

Generally I am not a fan of blended margaritas. For me it is like a meal in its own. It fills me up. I guess that is good right?

But let me tell you when it is as hot as it is out there, a nice blended margarita is good. And if you can't fight the heat...beat it! This margarita has just enough sweet and just enough spice.

As I mentioned in this post, I got new margarita glasses and I love them. A great Home Goods find. I love that dang store.

Ingredients:

Handful of strawberries, frozen
1 slice of jalapeno pepper 1/2-1 inch thick (SEEDS REMOVED) depending on your love for spice
Lime juice to taste
2 tablespoons of sugar
1.5 oz silver tequila

Directions:

Combine strawberries and jalapeno pepper in a blender and blend until smooth. Add lime juice, sugar and tequila and ice. Shake to mix and chill the marg. Enjoy!

As you can tell from my pictures, I don't like salted rims. But you all go and do you. :-)
How do you handle the heat?

  1. I agree with you with the salted rim, which is why I turned to sugar and that tastes awesome - you should try that.

I got a margarita Friday night and was nursing it all night and took a last final gulp and got a nice gulp of salt, blech!
